A multitude of funding programmes aides in the realisation of EU projects, such as ERASMUS+ (text in German). It  furthers the European dimension in vocational training and further education. It paves the way for transnational cooperation by allowing for stays abroad within vocational education and helping the development of innovative teaching and learning material.

Moreover there are programmes on a national level, for example INRERREG, ZIEL 2, Learning Regions etc, which are co-financed with EU means.
